Sustainability Report 2023 A five-minute introduction to our sustain- ability year It is time to start measuring the climate footprint of every product Together with Swedish CarbonCloud, we are now starting work to measure and report the climate footprint of each individual food product in our range. This is a tool that will make it easier for our customers to purchase products with a smaller climate footprint. Read more on pages 22 and 23 Sustainability in Partnership Together with 14 other stakeholders in the Swedish sector, Menigo has joined the Sustainable Food Chain initiative. During the year, we have agreed on a number of impor- tant points for the creation of a sustainable food chain by 2030. Read more about the initiative on page 48. 2 Carbon offsetting In FY22, we resolved to carbon offset all emissions recorded in our climate financial statements, the first Swedish food wholesaler to do so. For FY2023, we have purchased carbon credits equivalent to 10,000 tonnes – leading to reduced CO 2 in the atmosphere through projects that simultaneously benefit people in countries such as India and Madagascar.
